About the Author Hi I’m Thomas and mad about food. I remember jumping off the bus, running home, bursting to get into the kitchen and cooking dinner. I was always hungry and I was only 11! This enthusiasm didn’t leave me and when I was 15 it took me into a professional kitchen and I have been hooked ever since. I have worked all over the world from France to Australia, I have travelled extensively in Europe, Asia and Australia this has inspired me to bring the tastes of the world home. In 2008 I settled in Leicestershire, where I have held positions as Head Chef in various well-established restaurants. I get so excited about the weddings I am involved with. I like to make sure that I form a solid relationship with my clients. Planning is the key to ensure a successful event, it is important that we are singing to the same tune.

It is full of themes and recipes that gave me some 'food for thought' (excuse the pun) on how to put our personalities in to our menu and how to make the meal part of our entertainment.I currently live in the USA and so am super happy how there are elements which make me proud to be English, the picnic idea and the pies remind me of how, despite our food being called bland by other countries, we actually have some wonderful dishes and a strong identity to go with it. There are plenty of dishes and themes that aren't traditionally English that I would love to be served at a wedding.Tom you make everything sound so delicious. Thank you for your help.
