I was sold on the description and snagged it for halloween time, along with books 2 and 3. I will be reviewing them as well after I read them.Plot interest: The plot was quite interesting, I had never heard of it before. Basically this is definitely a steamier work, but the halloween aspect of it, the horror if you will, is easier to eat as chocolate cake. Apple Pie. Uh, Milk.Description: Visual descriptions like dripping in apple pie sauce and crumbs and things like that are still haunting me.Characters: The witch is our main character and readers can feel the transformation. She is not always hungry for the people who've done their thing on Halloween, and when she isn't (most of the other days of the year) she is quite down to earth and normal. A jekyll and almost sort of hyde feel, but the transformation is seamless enough that it doesn't quite feel like such a leap.I mean, I don't know, but if someone turned into a big and delicious treat (I mean big, like the size of a human) how many would run away in horror verses twisted enough to taste it? I do not know the answer, and now that I asked, I hope it's never answered.All in all, a nice start to a short series. Can read before bedtime easily with no problems.If you are looking for lots of graphic descriptions of sweet desert treats (literally, not a metaphor), I think you will be happy with this piece. Just be sure you have indulged in a piece of candy or two before reading..
