I got to go swimming, catch fish, and just get downright dirty. Now that I'm an adult it is clear to me why my mother did not like to go camping. After reading this book about diva camping hacks I am sure that I will enjoy it a lot more. The author added some great meal ideas including the recipes for the meals. She also included some bathroom ideas and how to fashionably dress for the outdoors. One of my biggest annoyances with the outdoors are the bugs. Well the author also included in this book a recipe for bug deterrent. The book is fun to read and includes lots of pictures. Oh and I did receive a copy of the book for free for an honest review.

It wasn't awful or anything, the author just rambled a lot.Positives - I liked the different chapters from food to cooler tips to fashion. I also enjoyed the authors tone. Fun and upbeat.Negatives - I have seen some of the pictures around on the Internet. Now maybe she got permission to include them in her book and if so, that's fine. However, I would have appreciated a link or some sort of credit under the pictures.All in all, it was fine. I pay for kindle unlimited so I didn't have to pay extra for this but if I had, I think I would feel disappointed.

I have built a few solar panels so I was curious to see if there were any good tips here. I could not figure out what the instructions in this book were trying to tell me. Completely useless. Lots of filler material about why solar is great and how to save electricity in your home.

But, it has a lot of basic knowledge about metals, and their makeup that are well defined. Although technology may have superseded a lot of the material in this book, I still give it a thumbs up, as some technologies don't change much over the years. Especially since it’s cost to Prime customers is $0 if downloaded to your Kindle.

It was an OK book By Amazon Customer I bought this for my husband's Kindle Fire and his biggest complaint was that the book referenced several illustrations but there were none on the Fire - what's with that? In any hardcover or paperback book the illustrations would have been close to the reference which helps to understand what the author is talking about. I don't understand why the illustrations were left out.

About the Author Born in Guadeloupe, Vanessa Bolosier is half-Guadeloupian and half-Martiniquan. She moved to France when she was 17 and worked as a fashion model while studying marketing and publishing. On moving to London she decided to quit her job in publishing for her true love - food. In 2011 she founded Carib Gourmet, a company specialising in luxury Caribbean food and confectionery, winning a Great Taste Award for her Coco Gourmand coconut sweets. By Dawnie This is a very cute cookbook that I enjoyed looking through and getting inspired by to try something new.The book has a very nice layout, the pictures are all beautiful and very clear and vibrant. Pages are nicely spaced and easy to read, even while you are a bit away from the book while cooking. The writing is done in a nice font that is also easily read and neither to little nor to big so that it feels like you have to make the page view bigger to really be able to see and read everything. All that is fantastically done.I also enjoyed the first few pages where the author talks about her life and how the came to make this cookbook as well as why she decided to make this book. I always enjoy learning a bit more about the person that is more or less invite into my kitchen by following their recipes. So I enjoyed that very much.The recipes themselves are mostly very easy and fast to make recipes that are still the traditional kitchen from the Caribbean and take you with their flavors directly there. It really is a book that give you the “sunshine flavors from the Caribbean”!I do have to say that the one thing that I found a bit sad was that not every recipe has a picture. And I do love it when especially cookbooks show actually really every individual recipe in a picture. There is just something that I enjoy by looking at the food that I want to make, to get really inspired and actually cooking it and not just looking and the words of the recipe and thinking that it sounds good. The picture is what makes me want to cook the dish.And while this book does have fantastic pictures of the food, it does not picture every single recipe. It is a personal preference. I know. But to me it does not matter if I see a recipe of something that I know how it looks –for example rice pudding as it is a recipe that is included in this book- or if I never heard of the dish before. I want to see it. Because as I said that is what makes me want to actually cook it. And also… I love to just pick up my cookbooks and flip through them, seeing all those beautiful pictures of foods that I could make and really get inspired. Once again, the more pictures that are inside a book the more I will actually use it. And sometimes –especially for the more simple and everyday recipes such as a rice pudding- I need a picture and seeing it to remind myself how fantastic it tastes to actually cook it once again.All in all it is a really fantastic cookbook with good recipes and nice pictures. The only thing is that I really wished it had more of those fantastic pictures. But if you are in search of a cookbook that will bring you the vacation feeling without having to actually go on vacation, if you have been to the Caribbean and miss the food, or if you just always wanted to go and never had the change… this book can take you there at least for a little while. Either by showing you the fantastic pictures or if you cook something and let yourself be taking away with the smells and flavors the recipes bring with them.This book was given to me via NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

It is truly packed full of so many great recipe ideas! Betty Barnes has really outdone herself with this fabulous book. I never knew that using spices to enhance food could be so easy or so flavorful. I love to cook and was looking on Amazon for something that would challenge me in the kitchen a bit. I wanted to really learn to create dishes that would really wow my friends & family. I am so happy I found this book during my search. I have made several of the recipes since reading the book and I am happy to report that everything has been extremely delicious! By Book Snob Reviews If you are the type of person that loves to savor your food, then you will love this book. Not only does it explain the nuts and bolts of each seasoning, but it will help you wake up foods that you only thought you knew how they should taste. My favorite is the Spinach Pasta Salad With A Hint Of Basil. I can't wait to try the Orange Chicken. Each recipe is simple and the results are delicious. Speaking of Simple, Healthy and Delicious, I'd also recommend that you buy a copy of Chef Jai Scover's new cookbook, Simple, Healthy and Delicious. It is filled with old favorites with a healthy twist like Pound Cake French Toast. Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!

To say I loved the previous books in this Carolina Bad Boys Series would be like saying I love coffee and if you know me, you know I can't go a day without at least 2 cups. Now, when it came to Boomer's story? Bloody hell and all this drool worthy.I could not get enough!Addicted from the very first page. Boomer is one of those alpha males that just can't NOT be a creature that ANY sane woman would want as his.. He exudes this dominance and all round darkness that intrigued me from the first moment that we were introduced to him.Now, he gets his own story with Rayce, a girl nobody expected would bring the wolf down to his knees..Boomer shows Rayce that closing up on love shouldn't be part of the rest of her and though at first she is reluctant to agree or even consider it, she realizes that there could be possibilities to trust and second chances. He shows her that he is more than he lets on, even though he too doesn't realize what he is doing until they both figure out how deep they are..There is so much that happens, it really takes a toll on your sanity - to which I will never complain about since, a. I was never truly sane to begin with ;) and b. It's bloody Boomer, anything involving him had no regrets written all over it.EMOTIONS.HEARTBREAK.SADNESS.SOULFUL.DOMINACE.TRUST.ADDICTIVE.STEAMY.LOVE.Chrome has everything and more importantly it has so much more that you might expect from book 5 in a series were it can often become less addictive and more repetitive. Being a big fan of Rie Warren books, I will read anything she writes. I was very excited and surprised to discover that even though this book is from the Carolina Bad Boys series, the main character is the President of Retribution MC and he's a Steele brother. I'm so glad I didn't accidentally miss out on it by getting my series mixed up. The characters in both series seem to be overlapping and intermingling and it's a win/win for all.I had already met Boomer & Rayce in a previous Retribution MC story. I knew that Boomer had a thing for Rayce, not that he was admitting it though. I just noted his interest and filed it away in my memory for future reference. Who'd a thunk I would get so excited when I read the synopsis of Chrome and realized, this was it!Boomer is BIG and BOSSY with the filthiest mouth ever. And when I say that he is BIG, I'm not just referring to his over six foot frame and his bulging muscles, well I guess it is a muscle, right? (wink-wink). He's a sight to behold with his striking blue eyes, sinful smirk, and beautiful tattoos. All of the women are falling over themselves to get to him, and he's already had most of them. But he's never been interested in more than a night. Until her...Rayce is tiny in stature, but she doesn't let that hold her back. Nope, she's full of sass and can throw attitude with the best of them. She holds her own with the guys at Stone's Garage where she works as a mechanic, or a wrench-wench as she's sometimes referred to. The men respect her and appreciate her skills. They also feel protective and proud of her, kinda like a little sister. Well, that is all the guys except for Boomer. When he sees her covered in grease, wearing her coveralls, and bent over the hood of a car there is nothing innocent about his thoughts.As the story is told in Boomer's POV, I was inside his head as he shared with me his thoughts and fantasies regarding Rayce. Let's just say that I almost melted into a puddle on the garage floor just reading about it...sigh. But that's not all he shared. He's had a rough time. Being the oldest brother, feeling responsible for his siblings and his club, he's got a lot of responsibility. He's just been pushing through, getting things done, not taking the time to deal with the event that shattered his world.It's not until Boomer takes Rayce home one night that he sees the condition of her home life. He's determined to find a way to get her away from there. And she's determined to stop him, while keeping her secrets. In the meantime, there's never a dull moment as I enjoyed hanging out with all the Bad Boys who kept me giggle-snorting from beginning to end. Actually, I'm still doing it, especially when I think of the bet. That's what I love about this author, she gives her readers the full package, complete with friendship, family, love, laughter, sexy and suspense. Fortunately, there are still some club members who need their own books. I'm looking forward to meeting the women that tame Tail and Handsome.

'Great Western Eight-Coupled Heavy Freight Locomotives' is the first of a series of 'Locomotive Profiles' to be published by Pen & Sword. It will describe the conception, design, building and operation of the fleet of powerful locomotives built in the first half of the twentieth century to meet the demands of the growing South Wales coal and steel industries and the West Midlands area served by the Great Western Railway. Whilst concentrating mainly on the standard designs of the great locomotive engineer, George Jackson Churchward, the 28XX and 47XX 2-8-0 locomotives, it will also cover the 2-8-0 and 2-8-2 tank engines designed for the South Wales Valleys mining areas and coal exports through Newport, Cardiff, Barry and Swansea Docks, and other 2-8-0 locomotives acquired by the Great Western to cope with the increased industrial needs during both world wars - the RODs, Swindon built 8Fs, WDs and American S160s. It will also cover the earliest designs of the Barry and Port Talbot Railways intended to cope with the valley coal traffic. The book will be copiously illustrated with 150 black and white and 50 coloured photographs and is a comprehensive record of some outstanding freight locomotives, many of the oldest engines still operating to the end of steam on British Railways in the mid 1960s, sixty years after they were designed."

About the Author David Maidment was born in 1938. He began his railway career in 1961 and although he retired from the railway industry over eighteen years ago, he is still busy as a writer, activist in the voluntary sector and as a speaker in schools, church groups and general interest clubs. In 1966, David received an OBE for services to the railway industry and, in 2012, he received a Life Achievement Award at the National Rail Awards. His published works include articles on railway history, safety, practice, performance and nostalgia, and several books including The Other Railway Children and Lives on the Line, among other publications.
