2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. A Most Useful Book By Susanne Floe I'm a nutritional counsellor and this is a book I will recommend to my clients. It starts to explain the different types of food allergy. The explanations are well done, short and to the point, no geek talk. An example is the difference between milk allergy and lactose intolerance.The substitute part is great too. Comprehensive, one thing I would add is, coconut oil is also good for frying (olive oil is suggested).The recipes all include exact ingredient lists, good directions and photos. My favorite is Italian Vegetable Spaghetti.All in all a useful book if you or your children have food allergies.

Good reference on food allergens By Amazon Customer Lots on info on common food allergies, quite a breeze and enjoyable to read, the list of food stuff to look for potential allergens was very helpful. Recipes enclosed were interesting and sparked my imagination to try substituting various ingredients for a healthier meal or snack.

I do not personally suffer from any food allergies, several members of my family suffer from them. I have been vegetarian for the better part of 20 years, and for the past few years have taken on vegan eating 90% of the time (I allow myself to eat certain organic meats, eggs, and milk products). The recipes look delicious (for my tastes, the meat free recipes).Great job!
