By Kashif Zahid Even though, we belong to Pakistan and familiar with most of the dishes already but Maria has put a different touch to many things. It is a handy catalogue for us to try out something new with the items, and tastes that we already know. I have personally cooked meals with her recipes (before this book), and they were awesomely delicious. Now, having it in the form of a book gives us an abundance of variety to bring something new to our table.I would definitely recommend this book, for anyone looking to savour authentic Pakistani (can be indian too) food of high quality.

By Loretta Sebastiani I'm not a Muslim but my Christian religion introduces fasting in preparation for Easter. So for us Christians, fasting is important even if it is programmed in very different terms. Yet I have read with great interest the book by Maria Nasir because much can be learned. For people who love Indian cuisine so rich in spices, flavor and color, this book is a valuable trove of recipes. And there are also dishes with an international touch.But the most important thing for me was reading her introduction, very full of ideas about the value of fasting and how to better plan a period of purification for body and mind.
