Hart Scarlet Le Clair's debut novel is filled with fast paced, sizzlin' action and TONS of HEAT. Even though I did not connect personally with the characters as an older reader, (I usually prefer more mature, well-developed characters) I did enjoy the lead female's connection to her family, especially her step-brother. However, I did not connect with the "love story" at the heart of the tale. The main characters were somewhat immature and selfish, which is understandable because they are young adults, so in that regard this tale is completely realistic and I can see how younger readers would easily connect with the protagonists.Despite the immaturity of the lead characters, I found that the writer was skillful at her craft and planted enough seeds about a dangerous past and a dark looming threat to draw me back to read the second installment in this series - because I REALLY want to know what happens next. I believe that it is a sign of skillful writer to make the reader want to know what happens next even when said reader cannot identify a great deal with the lead characters. It is my hope that Ms. Le Clair will develop these characters more fully, give them a bit of maturity or depth as they face what promises to be a very difficult future in SPLIT. TORN doesn't end in a HEA, but rather a HFN. If you are looking for a fast paced, HOT read without a great deal of character exploration, then you will enjoy this story. Ms. Le Clair writes skillfully and holds the reader’s attention, drawing one in enough that you have to see it through to find out what happens next.

Sitting around in the house quickly bores her, and she begins swimming lessons. There she meets her swimming instructor, Blake McCole, who is gorgeous...but so is his brother Luke—also an instructor at the leisure centre. When Sam and Blake bump into each other at a local pub and she spills her drink over him the sparks fly. They end up spending a lot of time together and she starts to fall for Blake, but there's something about Luke that she just can’t keep her hands off. A sexual need for him that she struggles to control. Torn between them, will the brothers ever let her have them both or will she be forced to choose between love and lust?OMG! Boy was this book HOT! I could not put this book down. I loved it. From the moment I started it I was hooked. You've got two brothers, Blake & Luke and they are both crazy for Sam. There is no way I was able to choose between Blake and Luke. They both loved her and want to make her happy. This author kept me guessing the whole way through. This book I had me laughing and crying. Just reading Torn you can feel the love and lust that Sam had for both Blake and Luke. I loved this book! I can't wait to read book 2.

By Kathryn Dee I am reviewing this book on behalf of Bookwhore Addict Reviews.Let me start by saying that the blurb on this book, alone, would be enough to draw me in to read it.Who doesn't appreciate a love triangle but add in the sibling factor and whoa you've got me!!Samantha returns to the UK from LA after breaking up with her douche boyfriend, but soon finds herself bored. She takes up swimming lessons, where her instructor, Blake and his brother Luke catch her attention.Sam and her girlfriends run into the guys on a night out but sparks begin to fly between Sam and Blake...... Where is it going to lead and shy has Sam such strong feeling for both brothers.Holy smokes, I can't give away spoilers but a classic love triangle amplified. Two smoking hot brothers, one saucy woman....sparks are flying. Thanks Scarlet Le Clair for such an awesome story.... Now I just need to get onto Book#2 Split..... I can see this story getting even hotter.
