To say I loved the previous books in this Carolina Bad Boys Series would be like saying I love coffee and if you know me, you know I can't go a day without at least 2 cups. Now, when it came to Boomer's story? Bloody hell and all this drool worthy.I could not get enough!Addicted from the very first page. Boomer is one of those alpha males that just can't NOT be a creature that ANY sane woman would want as his.. He exudes this dominance and all round darkness that intrigued me from the first moment that we were introduced to him.Now, he gets his own story with Rayce, a girl nobody expected would bring the wolf down to his knees..Boomer shows Rayce that closing up on love shouldn't be part of the rest of her and though at first she is reluctant to agree or even consider it, she realizes that there could be possibilities to trust and second chances. He shows her that he is more than he lets on, even though he too doesn't realize what he is doing until they both figure out how deep they are..There is so much that happens, it really takes a toll on your sanity - to which I will never complain about since, a. I was never truly sane to begin with ;) and b. It's bloody Boomer, anything involving him had no regrets written all over it.EMOTIONS.HEARTBREAK.SADNESS.SOULFUL.DOMINACE.TRUST.ADDICTIVE.STEAMY.LOVE.Chrome has everything and more importantly it has so much more that you might expect from book 5 in a series were it can often become less addictive and more repetitive. NOT with Chrome though. Not a chance.Thank you so much for the ARC Rie Warren! Pleasant, South Carolina♦️POV: first person, HERO♦️HERO: Boomer Steele, 31--Retribution MC President. Huge, broad, muscular, 6'5 with short dark hair, ice-blue eyes, tattoos and pierced naughty bits. Sweet, devoted, protective, good with kids.♦️HEROINE: Rayce Lafayette, 24--Mechanic. Member of the Ladies of Redemption MC. Rides dirt bikes and races motocross. A sassy tomboy with a gutter mouth. Small and curvy with short black & blue hair, hazel eyes, tattoos & piercings. Lives in squalor with her alcoholic & abusive father.♦️REVIEW: Love this series!!! So refreshing to read about a clean MC, not involved in drugs/illegal activities, no club whores & their drama. But we still get the big, sexy badass bikers with their muscles, tats & piercings and dirty mouths just without all the negative bs. Boomer is a wonderful H, loved how he went after his woman, took care of her. Being a big fan of Rie Warren books, I will read anything she writes. I was very excited and surprised to discover that even though this book is from the Carolina Bad Boys series, the main character is the President of Retribution MC and he's a Steele brother. I'm so glad I didn't accidentally miss out on it by getting my series mixed up. The characters in both series seem to be overlapping and intermingling and it's a win/win for all.I had already met Boomer & Rayce in a previous Retribution MC story. I knew that Boomer had a thing for Rayce, not that he was admitting it though. I just noted his interest and filed it away in my memory for future reference. Who'd a thunk I would get so excited when I read the synopsis of Chrome and realized, this was it!Boomer is BIG and BOSSY with the filthiest mouth ever. And when I say that he is BIG, I'm not just referring to his over six foot frame and his bulging muscles, well I guess it is a muscle, right? (wink-wink). He's a sight to behold with his striking blue eyes, sinful smirk, and beautiful tattoos. All of the women are falling over themselves to get to him, and he's already had most of them. But he's never been interested in more than a night. Until her...Rayce is tiny in stature, but she doesn't let that hold her back. Nope, she's full of sass and can throw attitude with the best of them. She holds her own with the guys at Stone's Garage where she works as a mechanic, or a wrench-wench as she's sometimes referred to. The men respect her and appreciate her skills. They also feel protective and proud of her, kinda like a little sister. Well, that is all the guys except for Boomer. When he sees her covered in grease, wearing her coveralls, and bent over the hood of a car there is nothing innocent about his thoughts.As the story is told in Boomer's POV, I was inside his head as he shared with me his thoughts and fantasies regarding Rayce. Let's just say that I almost melted into a puddle on the garage floor just reading about it...sigh. But that's not all he shared. He's had a rough time. Being the oldest brother, feeling responsible for his siblings and his club, he's got a lot of responsibility. He's just been pushing through, getting things done, not taking the time to deal with the event that shattered his world.It's not until Boomer takes Rayce home one night that he sees the condition of her home life. He's determined to find a way to get her away from there. And she's determined to stop him, while keeping her secrets. In the meantime, there's never a dull moment as I enjoyed hanging out with all the Bad Boys who kept me giggle-snorting from beginning to end. Actually, I'm still doing it, especially when I think of the bet. That's what I love about this author, she gives her readers the full package, complete with friendship, family, love, laughter, sexy and suspense. Fortunately, there are still some club members who need their own books. I'm looking forward to meeting the women that tame Tail and Handsome.
