I have heard and read that hypnosis has some physiological effects as sometimes the mind has so much power over the body at times. Hypnosis is a powerful tool that can be used to help or entertain people. When you hypnotize people, you make them forget about their surroundings and focus on you and your directions. The person you pick has to be willing to be hypnotized. It's much more difficult to hypnotize someone who doesn't wish to be hypnotized than someone who's willing. Hypnosis doesn't work on everyone,a great way to check if someone is a suitable subject is to tell them to close their eyes and imagine one of their hands getting lighter and lighter. Then tell them that their other hand is getting heavier and heavier. If one hand rises and the other hand lowers, then they're a good subject to use.

This one time in elementary school, they had a guest speaker hypnotize 5 students and it was the craziest experience ever. Luckily for me, it wasn't me because that seemed really scary but it was crazy to watch. This book dives into the basics of how people are hypnotized and how you can hypnotize others!

This is why this book is great for me. The book contains a collection of basic Italian recipes. The instructions very clear and easy- to-follow. I also like that the prep and total time are given. It is easier to plan a dinner this way.

Chang Sky Warriors is a collection of historical essays about major air battles, adventures, and technological advances creates (or failed to) disrupt the status quo in air battles. The stories vary somewhat in content, mixing quotes from participants to historical overviews and discussions about technology, strategy, and tactics involved. It is a good buffet of different aspects of air war that span the decades, from zeppelins to Desert Storm, from TV-guided bombs to electronic warfare, from specialized weapons like Tallboy bomb to laser-guided bombs for bridgebusting... The stories are varies, the times are varies, and discussions are varied as well.Divided into 15 chapters, in roughly chronological order, the author delved into rough history of airpower, not in terms of individual warriors (but there are discussions of that too) but more of an overview, from the strategy and tactics and logistics that both constrained such and made them possible. For example, the zeppelin mission had to succeed, yet a senior commander can't be spared as the trip is expected to be one way, so a junior commander was sent instead, and the existing airships were judged to be not up to the task, so a special lengthened one had to be built. Similarly, the special mission by British Royal Air Force to raid the Argentinian airport at Fort Stanley with a single bomber necessitated sending up like 7 more tankers, since each tanker must have enough fuel to fly back alone, and that's assuming no problems.I am somewhat familiar with some of the subjects discussed, such as the wunderweapons and Berlin raids, of Desert Storm shock-and-awe and and Battle of Britain, but this book gave me details I was not privy to before (or probably missed), and other incidents that are a delight to read.The author's writing style is easy to read and not overly technical. Use of quotes are sparing for flavor only, and demonstrated a thorough understanding of the subject.If you like combat history you should like this book.

They are of very value to me since we always go on outdoor trips and there are lots of friends coming to our place all the time. And we usually try to treat them with barbeque. Ebbecke This is an excellent resource for anyone over weight, borderline diabetes or with Type II diabetes. As John Hodges and Ted Gif point out, over 90% of these cases are preventable!I am very familiar with Diabetes as it is in my family. My niece died at an early age (in her 30’s) of complications from Type I diabetes (autoimmune form). This could have been prevented had she followed the advice of these authors by following a healthy diet and drinking far less alcohol. Back then I knew that if she had followed a healthy lifestyle and taken care of herself she would still be alive today. My older sister had uterine cancer (now in remission) and she now has type II diabetes. Again an unhealthy lifestyle has led to her illnesses.The authors do an amazing job of explaining glycogenesis, Ketoacidosis, and the role of hormones such as leptin and glucagon in blood glucose levels. People inherit the number of fat cells from their parents, however, weight gain in adulthood is mainly due to adipocyte size meaning our lifestyle and how much we eat. 90% of us can control our weight gain!I listened to the Audiobook which was fabulous. Narrator R. Paul Matty's tone, pace, pitch, and enthusiasm keeps the listener interested throughout the entire book. This is extremely tough to do when dealing with complex biological processes. His voice is easy to listen to and he emphasizes certain parts while changing his tone at the right places as if he wrote the book. It is obvious he has a grasp of the material and believes in it. I wish all of my professors had lectured like him!The authors talk about keeping a food diet and eating healthy alternatives such as raisins and nuts instead of chips or chocolate. They discuss complex carbohydrates such as whole grains and spelt flour. While “no one size fits all”, by eating healthy, eliminating or moderating animal products and following a healthy diet with lots of veggies and fruits people can live a healthy and vibrant life! I highly recommend getting the book and adopting the healthy lifestyle behaviors! Awesome resource for anyone wanting to live a better life!! '

By JOHNNY DRESDON This is a great book to read especially if you are prone to having Diabetes (family history); poor eating habit and sedentary lifestyle. At first I thought this is about healthy recipes to combat Diabetes but it actually a book that will teach you about Diabetes and how it busted off several myths existing with the foregoing disease. It is essential for everyone to take time to read a book such as this to open our minds that it is not just those with family history that needs to take extra care or our health. Despite some typographical or grammatical errors here and there (minor), the writing style is easy to understand and it doesn't require to have a medical background to understand Diabetes. There is differentiation among the food group of what is healthy and what isn't which is really helpful. For example, choose 100% fruit juice over fruit punch. We have so many processed food everywhere and it is our responsibility to be mindful of what we eat, and not just eat. This book is a great resource to combat DIABETES head on!
