Perhaps you are like me and you carry one to work each day to avoid all the empty calories that are floating around the office or maybe you are on a strict exercise and diet regime and you use them to get in the protein you need to maximize your workout. Whatever reason you use them they are a BILLION dollar industry and they cost a LOT. Here is an opportunity for you to 1) Reduce environmental impact of packaging 2) Avoid empty calories 3) Control the quality of content and 4) SAVE MONEY! We have been using a particular brand of protein bars and I was looking for a recipe to see if we could make them ourselves. My search brought me to this book and guess what, there are a LOT of bars we can make ourselves. For example the Cranberry Peanut Butter Bars is nearly identical to the one I take to the office. The Protein Barsusing Muesli recipe is better than a breakfast bar we’ve been buying for years. The oatmeal raisin protein bars are the perfect replacement for the sugar loaded bars that the kids have been taking to school. An excellent resource! Once you master a few of these recipes you will be able to cut the waste (packaging) and the cost while improving the quality of your food.

I've spent anywhere from $2-$4 for a protein bar, and half of the time, I'm not a big fan of the taste. A friend recommended that I start making my own and then I stumbled across this book! This is an easy read with a lot of information. It first gives you all the valuable information you need to know when it comes to protein bars, and then follows with some yummy recipes. The no-bake ones are my favorite! Would definitely recommend if you're looking to save some money.

I am developing my body muscles, I go to gym everyday, and we all know that one nutrient that can help develop muscles is protein. I usually buy protein supplements and other foods rich in protein but I already lacked on budget so this DIY protein bars are just helpful. It is easy and quick, and I can now save some money and I know that is safe because I prepared it myself.
