About the Author I really thought after writing a 600 plus page cookbook, "Where Food And People Meet", containing my travel stories, culinary information and over 900 recipes, I'd shared all I knew about the North American continent. However, after contacts with many new people and reconnecting with those from my past, I was bombarded with requests for all the things I didn't write about. So the first cookbook was what I wanted to share, this second cookbook is all the things everyone requested I share. There's bits and pieces from my hometown St. Louis, items about Joe's home area Baltimore, contacts traveling as nurses, more Montana experiences, our wonderful families and a whole chapter about Alaska. Yes, even a chapter for our 17-year old chow/golden retriever, Marlowe Frankie and all family "pets". I also emphasized the multiple ways anyone can share their culinary skills, highlighting times together indoors and out. I've cooked, baked and collected cookbooks, recipes and friends for 40 years. The journey has introduced me to people, places and foods that are a picture book of my incredible life and I'm blessed for every moment and memory. Having the chance to share more of those wonderful times and recipes is my honor and I hope inspires others to reach out and share a meal, dish, snack, treat or food gift to another soul and experience the joy. Control Theory is at the heart of information and communication technologies of complex systems. It can contribute to meeting the energy and environmental challenges we are facing.

The textbook is organized in the way an engineer classically proceeds to solve a control problem, that is, elaboration of a mathematical model capturing the process behavior, analysis of this model and design of a control to achieve the desired objectives.

It is divided into three Parts. The first part of the text addresses modeling aspects through state space and input-output representations. The notion of the internal state of a system (for example mechanical, thermal or electrical), as well as its description using a finite number of variables, is also emphasized. The second part is devoted to the stability analysis of an equilibrium point. The authors present classical tools for stability analysis, such as linearization techniques and Lyapunov functions.

Central to Control Theory are the notions of feedback and of closed-loop, and the third part of the textbook describes the linear control synthesis in a continuous and discrete-time framework and also in a probabilistic context. Quadratic optimization and Kalman filtering are presented, as well as the polynomial representation, a convenient approach to reject perturbations on the system without making the control law more complex. Throughout the text, different examples are developed, both in the chapters and in the exercises.

The tips were useful and practical By Lenna Lyon I'm a vegetarian and am always on the lookout for alternative recipes to make vegetable preparations and cooking more exciting and flavorful. I decided to explore slow-cooking with my crockpot and this book helped me a lot. It explained how slow cookers really work and what are the right ingredients to use. I appreciate the section on converting regular recipes into slow cooker dishes. The tips were useful and practical. Must-try the chinese Vegetarian Hot Pot---my husband loved this.

Wheat products are all around us and it's not easy to say "no" to them so I'll start slow with my wheat-free diet. What this book says about the glitches of eating wheat-filled foods make sense, and it is tempting to know that the Wheat Belly Diet can make you lose 3-5 lbs a week! I've tried preparing some of the foods in the book, they're fast and worry-free to cook. If you're a beginner chef in your home, this book is a fantastic kitchen companion. Check this book out to improve your healthy cooking and healthy eating program.

I have researched much about this diet and currently practice it with great results. Excellent for weight loss and overall amazing health benefits.It was hard to cut grains in the beginning but once the cravings reside it feels great. This set also delivers very useful information about the diet, its purpose and why you should follow it. Great book and highly recommended!

By Julian Thomas I bought this originally for the gluten-free slow cooker recipes, but both turned out being great for my lifestyle. Usually I'm on the run all day, so its great having something cooking in the slow cooker, when I'm doing daily errands. I really enjoy a few of the recipes, which makes me feel even better about not having to cook every night. Id say for anybody who lives a busy lifestyle, this book is well worth the price.

As an American with little previous exposure to Korean food, I was surprised at the variety, simplicity, and ease of preparation of these classic Korean dishes. With such great directions, I even made kimchi- with delicious results. This is a great chance to explore the cuisine, have fun cooking, and eat more healthfully,and save money all in one. He wants a soul, and in order to have it, his demon masters make him seduce mortals, sucking the dark part of their souls out and giving it to them. He has one last victim, Gabriel. But his demon masters seek more than just the dark part of Gabriel's soul, they want the whole thing. Dorian knows if he does this, he will kill Gabriel. He is finding it hard to complete, as he has become completely entranced by Gabriel. To make matters worst, he finds himself completely smitten with a woman, a woman who could change his mind about everything.This was probably the most interesting erotic book I have read to date. The plot was so different, the words were flawless and the characters were written so well, they felt so real. The only thing that I found a little bit disappointing was it seemed to end rather abruptly. I would have liked to have seen a little more interaction at the end between the characters.

Dorian wants a soul so he's doing what his demon masters want, he's seducing humans and taking the "dark" part of their souls and giving them to his masters. Now Gabriel comes into the masters sights, they don't want just the "dark" part of his soul, they want all his soul. Dorian knows to do this will kill Gabriel and as he's starting to have feelings for him so he's in a turmoil. He wants a soul of his own but he doesn't want it at the cost of Gabriel's life. There's also a woman Dorian is falling for that makes him rethink everything. There's some pretty steamy sex scenes but they're not over the top. One of the better erotic books I've read in a while, definitely not for anyone under 18.Independent reviewer for Romance Authors That Rock.

At first I was a little taken back when I read the first chapter and how one just jumped right into things but after reading further I get it. It was settingthe scene. Loved the characters. About the Author

Professor JAMES W NILSSON taught at Iowa State University for 39 years. Since retiring from Iowa State, he has been a visiting professor at Notre Dame, California Polytechnic at San Luis Obispo, and the United States Air Force Academy. In 1962, he co-authored (with R.G. Brown) Introduction to Linear Systems Analysis (John Wiley & Sons). In 1968, he authored Introduction to Circuits, Instruments, and Electronics (Harcourt Brae and World). Professor Nilsson received a Standard Oil Outstanding Teacher Award in 1968, the IEEE Undergraduate Teaching Award in 1992, and the McGraw-Hill Jacob Millman Award in 1995. In 1990, he was elected to the rank of Fellow in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Professor SUSAN A. RIEDEL has been a member of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Marquette University since 1981. She also holds a clinical research appointment in the Department of Orthopaedics at the Medical College of Wisconsin and was a visiting professor in the Bioengineering Unit at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland, as a Fulbright Scholar during the 1989-90 academic year. She has received two awards for teaching excellence at Marquette, and was recognized for her research contributions with an award from the Chicago Unit of the Shriner's Hospitals.

It does not prepare the student well enough even to accomplish the assessment problems and final chapter problems - very nebulous as to what exactly it is asking on some of those. Some of the problems and exercises will get you turning pages back and forth as they reference another problem/figure from a few pages before.Our professor and many classmates have, in just a few chapters early in the quarter, found a myriad of errors, wrong answers in the back, and misprints - a sign of poor quality check and assurance.I came across the 9th edition and for 3 hours compared the first 9 chapters against this 10th newest edition, page by page (seriously), and found that the text content, the examples, the assessment problems (spread throughout the chapters), a few chapter articles (the Practice Perspectives - each chapter has one), and the summaries, are exactly the same, word-for-word, number-by-number, as in "there's nothing different"! I didn't check the problems at the end of each chapter as our professor had already told us they were simply shuffled and maybe changed some of the numbers a bit.To me, Electric Circuits 10th Edition is nothing more than a fancy and very expensive reprint of the 9th edition (check the reviews on the 9th edition for more).

It is not easy to work through and there will be no hand holding or worked out examples. You will have to pay close attention to the actual theory and abstract ideas presented. You will also probably end up looking up for worked out examples on the web or in another book.Having said that, this book will prepare you for what lies ahead if you are a Electrical or Computer Engineer. As an engineer at a top 10 school (ranked 4 in ECE), I used this book instead of the one my teacher prescribed. The difference it has made is astronomical. Typically, we were given homework problems and assignments from a book that watered down everything. Then, come test time, we were literally ripped apart by exam questions and abstract ideas.Not anymore. After purchasing this book and using it as my primary reading, I was been able to better understand and apply the concepts that my teachers or book never fully explained. The problems assigned in this book are HARD and you will be required to seek out help, but the reward will be when you can confidently solve and actually understand what is going on. I highly recommend this book to anyone out there who is interested in going beyond the typical introductory material for electrical engineering.

The author cleverly gives the reader a suspenseful and passionate plot that keeps you interested for the outcome. I enjoyed reading it and I was fascinated by the author’s imagination. But let's be straight water is just too plain, specially if you've been drinking sodas and juices all your life. Infused water is a great way to "tricking" you taste buds. You have the flavor of the the ingredients you put in you water but none of the excess sugar and chemicals. It also provides all the vitamins and minerals. A lot of recipes in this book, not only are they great tasting, they also have benefits. Losing weight, more energy and a lot more. I can't wait to try out more of the recipes here.
