Poignant, thought provoking, and sensual By DiDi GPBR 4.5 StarsM/M/F ménage romances are a favorite of mine and what I always appreciate about those written by author Jess Dee is the fact that they don’t come easy for the three people involved. In Kisses Sweeter Than Wine the two men have a very volatile past that includes periods of them being together and periods of them apart, one of the men has a failed engagement, and the other at some point realized he alone would never be enough for his lover and a woman who has wanted them both for years but gave up her happiness for that of her friend. This is a complicated, sexy, and emotional story and the characters have some big issues to work through but in doing so they discover that while their relationship might not ever be easy, it is what makes them happy and that is all that matters to them.I’m just going to say it Noah Martin has some big balls when he takes Declan Muirfield back to the hotel resort where his marriage was suppose to take place six months ago. Declan isn’t happy but Noah knows it is something he needs to confront and Noah plans to make Declan tackle all kinds of issues this weekend especially when their PR representative Violet Harper arrives.It was hard not to appreciate everything Noah set in to place to get not only what he wanted but what he knows Declan wants and what he suspects Violet wants and when she walks in on he and Declan during an intimate moments his suspicion is confirmed. While physically they are all on the same page, emotionally they have some issues they need to work through and those issues have the potential to tear them apart. I love that a visit from Blake, Lily and Angus from Summer Wine showed them all that the type of relationship they wanted was possible and that Angus helped Declan to see things a little more clearly.Poignant, thought provoking, and sensual Kisses Sweeter Than Wine is another inspired story in Jess Dee’s Tastes of Seduction series and one I know I will read often.Review copy provided for an honest review.

We hear a bit about how the characters met two years ago, and have been working acquaintances since then, though Noah and Dec have known each other far longer, being on and off lovers many times. Noah would be happy to continue as a couple, but Dec wants the wife, kids and picket fence conventionality that his family expect. Violet has worked with them, doing publicity for their business, for two years, and she was attracted to both right from the start but then Dec met her best friend..Once they started a relationship she stepped back.Most of the action takes place on the weekend at the hotel, with a little happening after their return. That works as an erotic novella, but I really like more of a story, more beginning, more of how they first get attracted etc. I’m not really a fan of novellas or short stories, and though this is about 190 pages it still feels like a short, a vignette of their relationship, a snippet of time covering just the essential moments when they all finally get together. The heat is definitely high, with some very steamy encounters between all three, and for readers who just want that this will be five stars. I wanted more though, more story, more background to set the weekend against and a slower build up. That's just me though as ever, and it is a good read, just not quite what I'd hoped for.Stars: three and a half ( five for heat, two for story)ARC supplied by Netgalley and publishers

Another great book from Jess Dee By redmoran1 I waited for a very long time to read Kisses Sweeter Than Wine and it was worth the wait.I really enjoyed reading about Declan , Noah and Violet.I wasn't sure how much I could enjoy reading a book about Declan after he called of his wedding to Tori ( Tori is in book #2 in the series Red Red Wine) but it turns out that he was a great hero.Kisses Sweeter Than Wine is a super sexy book but more than sex it's a story about finding true love and learning how to live the life you want to live and not the life other think you should live and it took Declan many years to put his happiness first and stop listening to his parents.
